2024 Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion

Bullen wins 2024 Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion

U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su recognized Bullen Ultrasonics as one of the 838 recipients of the 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual award ceremony presented by the U.S. Department of Labor on October 31st, 2024. Bullen earned the Platinum award for being an employer of veterans after reapplying earlier this year. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers.

Recipients of the 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages; availability of veteran-specific resources; leadership programming for veterans; dedicated human resource efforts; pay compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans.

There are different awards for large employers (500-plus employees), medium employers (51-499 employees), and small employers (50 or fewer employees). Additionally, there are two award tiers: Gold and Platinum.

What Are We Doing for our Veteran workforce?

Bullen actively works to be an employer of veterans by providing career opportunities through ethical hiring practices. We work with state and local veteran resources that are currently available to increase communication and awareness of our open job opportunities.

Once employed, we also have a Veteran Employee Resource Group, run by our Human Resources Manager, Corporal Ronnie Bailey, U.S. Army. We are honored to have employees that are veterans or reservists and that they want to be a part of our team. We don’t take that lightly. We want to equip veterans and their families with the resources they need to have a fulfilling career and life.

If you are looking for an organization that understands the strength it takes to be a part of the military, a family atmosphere, and an opportunity for career growth, we’d love for you to check in with us for open positions in the future https://www.bullentech.com/military/

What are we doing for our community?

Our Veteran Employee Resource Group chooses a charity, veteran, or family of a veteran in need to submit a donation on Bullen’s behalf. This past year in 2024, we donated through Semper Fi to help fund the purchase of a Zoom wheelchair for an Ohio native wounded warrior that will help improve his quality of life through expanding opportunities with indoor and outdoor mobility and being active with his children. If you or a Veteran/Veteran family you know are in need of assistance, reach out to Ronnie (rbailey@bullentech.com) with contact information and information about your request. We evaluate opportunities yearly and would be honored to receive suggestions on additional opportunities to help our community.

What’s happening right now?
